On Saturday February 1st we’ll be presenting an evening of graphic scores and improvisation at Open Space in Victoria. The programme will include graphic scores by Randy Raine-Reusch and Ryan Keebaugh, and sonic interpretations of works in Open Space’s Concrete Scores exhibition and by local Victoria artist Tony Van Den Boomen. In two short weeks we will be taking the stage as part of Chambercon, a joint presentation between the Redshift Music Society and Vancouver New Music. For our group’s set we will be premiering works by John Burke and Ava Grayson, adapting works by Rudolf Komorous and Barbara Pentland, and improvising. Later in the day we’ll be performing works for large ensemble by John Korsrud, Rita Ueda, and Jordan Nobles, and premiering a Vancouver New Music Panorama project directed by Giorgio Magnanensi.
